This growth is driven by investments and expansion of existing facilities like the Panipat refinery and a new refinery in Ratnagiri. Indian coal PSUs are investing Rs 20,000 crore in renewable energy projects by 2028. The Indian Energy Exchange (IEX) witnessed a record trading volume of 10,633 MU in May 2024, a 28.9% increase compared to previous records.

India ki refining capacity 2024 tak 276.1 MMT tak pahunchne wali hai, jo 2023 mein 266.5 MMT thi. Yeh badhaav investments aur existing facilities jaise Panipat refinery aur Ratnagiri mein new refinery ke expansion se aaya hai.
