The new platform will connect to the existing first platform and facilitate cargo transportation to the nearby FCI godown. The team also inspected works at Ottapalam and Shornur stations. The railway is also interested in speeding up the construction of an underpass near the 7-arch bridge in Valambur to address traffic congestion. This underpass is expected to be completed soon. The railway is also considering upgrading the existing FCI road to provide easier access to the station from Perinthalmanna. There are plans for a second parking area near the warehouse and a foot overbridge connecting the second platform to the first platform. A foot overbridge is also planned to address traffic congestion caused by lorries parked near the FCI godown. This bridge is expected to be completed in six months. The unused area will be developed for parking bicycles and other uses. The FCI has been instructed to relocate the lorry parking area to a different location.

Railway Valambur mein 7-arch bridge ke paas underpass banwane mein bhi interest dikha raha hai, jisse traffic jam ki problem dur ho sakti hai. Underpass jaldi hi complete hone ki ummeed hai. Railway FCI road ko upgrade karne par bhi vichar kar raha hai, jisse Perinthalmanna se station tak access aasaan ho sake. Unused area ko bicycle parking aur other uses ke liye develop kiya jaayega. FCI ko lorry parking area ko relocate karne ka instruction diya gaya hai.
