The estimated cost for the project was ₹495.32 crore. This includes the construction of five metro stations, namely: Shaheed Park, Khajrana, Bengali Chowk, Canadian Road, Patrakar Colony, and Palasia. The chosen company is expected to complete the construction within 1092 days (approximately three years). This is the first time that the metro will be constructed in a dense and narrow area, after the Super Corridor and MR-10. The same company is already working on the construction of a viaduct and metro station between Gandhinagar and the MR-10 bridge, and has the contract for building the metro station from MR-10 bridge to Robot Chowk. Therefore, if awarded the contract, they will not have to set up a new staff or infrastructure, as their casting yard is already located on the Super Corridor. This is expected to expedite the project.
