THere is a one-station-one-product shop selling handloom silk sarees and dress material inside the station just at the entry on Platform 1 ( Where you have the A2B stall) - small but excellent collection - you are assured of the handloom quality ( coz its from the weavers directly) and the price is fairly good - even as compared to within the city

This tip is for people who have miss the Bhubaneswar-Bangriposi intercity express from Bhubaneswar and have to travel to Bhadrak , Balasore , Baripada.
Straightway go to Baramunda bus stand, and you will get buses to these areas till 10-11pm.
Last intercity type of bus to Balasore is at 6pm which is of "Sitaram" travels, and for direct journey to Baripada via Balasore is at 5:30pm which is of "Kalpana" travels.

6 pm, next bus from Baramunda bus stand is at 8pm for Balasore. Its of "Khirachora" travels and after that, for Baripada numerous bus starts at a gap of just 15-30 minutes. But bear in mind, these night buses May or may not be entering into Balasore city, so confirm the same before booking. All these buses enter into Bhadrak bus stand, so here its not a much of problem.
Bus fare for Bhubaneswar to Balasore is - Rs 350-400 per person.
The buses to Balasore/Baripada/Bhadrak starts from near the Baramunda stand main building, exactly opposite to the spot where Kolkata/Bokaro/Ranchi bound deluxe buses start.

If you have to do UP/DN b/w LKO-CNB or CNB-Kalpi; never rely on this train. It often starts late from Jhansi [often due to the original rake arriving late at night though sometimes alternate rakes are provided so that it starts bang on time], arrives somewhat delayed at CNB and then takes massive amounts of time to reach LKO [like it once took 5 hrs for CNB-LJN section; ~4 hrs for this section is ordinary for this train; it is looped for any and all trains].

Jhansi, it is DAILY delayed. You cannot pre plan for this train. And by the time it reaches post CNB, it often goes into midnight territory; reaching JHS after the sun breaks sometimes.

Like cycle your way to your destination and you'll end up faster than waiting and traveling by this train.
