Vijayawada railway division has confirmed the final location survey for the construction of a new rail line between Machilipatnam-Narasapur. They have allocated a whopping amount of Rs. 9,151 crores in the 2024-25 railway budget. The focus is on essential infrastructure projects. New rail projects worth approximately Rs. 74 crores are underway in Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Odisha, and other states. Improvements in railway signaling systems are also being implemented quickly in various sections. New railway stations are also planned to be constructed in Amaravati.
