The Committee acknowledged that the DPR was still under review by the Ministry and that it would take some time to finalize. However, the Committee found the delays unacceptable, considering the importance of the assurance. They attributed the delay to negligence on the part of the Railway Ministry. The Committee expressed dissatisfaction with the Ministry's response regarding the closure of the Waltair division and recommended that the Ministry should have consulted with representatives and stakeholders to address the issue.
