Kumaraswamy Pushes for Key Railway Projects with Union Railways Minister

Union Heavy Industries Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy met with Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw in New Delhi to discuss crucial railway infrastructure projects in Karnataka. He advocated for the completion of the Chennai-Mysuru High-Speed Rail Corridor (CBM Bullet Train), a 435km project connecting Chennai, Bengaluru, and Mysuru with nine stations. The project...

is part of the six new high-speed rail corridors planned by the Indian government, with tendering for detailed project reports and construction initiated in December 2020. Kumaraswamy also emphasized the importance of the Bengaluru-Sathyamangalam-Chamarajanagar railway line, originally sanctioned during H.D. Deve Gowda's tenure, for boosting regional connectivity and economic development. The meeting highlighted Kumaraswamy's commitment to advancing Karnataka's railway infrastructure, aligning with Prime Minister Modi's national development goals.

Union Heavy Industries Minister H.D. Kumaraswamy, jaise ki HDK bhi jaante hain, ne recently Rail Bhavan, New Delhi mein Union Railways Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw se mulaqat ki thi. Yeh mulaqat Karnataka mein railway infrastructure ke mahatvpurn project ko promote karne ke liye thi. In projects mein Chennai-Mysuru...

High-Speed Rail Corridor (CBM Bullet Train) aur Bengaluru-Sathyamangalam-Chamarajanagar railway line via Kanakapura-Malavalli route shamil hain. Ek hour lambi discussion mein, Kumaraswamy ne in projects ke samay par pura hone ki importance par zor diya, taaki region ki connectivity badh sake aur economic growth promote ho sake. Chennai-Mysuru Bullet Train project, jo ki 435 kilometers lamba hai, Chennai, Bengaluru, aur Mysuru ko 9 stations ke saath connect karega, jo ki Tamil Nadu aur Karnataka mein hain. Yeh project India government ke 6 new high-speed rail corridors mein se ek hai, jiski tendering December 2020 mein shuru hui thi, taaki detailed project reports (DPR) prepare ki ja sake aur construction shuru ho sake. Iske alawa, Kumaraswamy ne Bengaluru-Sathyamangalam-Chamarajanagar railway line ki importance bhi batayi, jo ki pehle former Prime Minister H.D. Deve Gowda ke tenure mein sanctioned ki gayi thi. Yeh ambitIOUS project regional connectivity ko boost karne aur route ke aas-paas economic development ko promote karne ka lakshya rakhata hai. Yeh meeting Kumaraswamy ki Karnataka ke railway infrastructure ko aage badhane ki commitment ko underline karta hai, jo ki Prime Minister Modi ke national development goals se match karta hai.

If and only if Mettupalayam/ Sathyamangalam to Chamarajamagar project is getting all green signals, this Chamarajanagar - Kollegal - Kanakapura - Bangalore line should be taken up. Else, this new line will not be a profitable one, as it will end at Chamarajajanagar, which is dead end of SWR MYS division.

This project is almost 100 years old, but nothing happened. Ditto for Nilambur Nanjangud line.

These days, every other day, we are getting requests from members to allow email login to their FB-based IRI account. 10 years ago, we had given the option for users to login through FaceBook - in retrospect, this was a mistake. These days, apparently, users are quitting FaceBook in droves because...
