Electronic train, coach, and reservation display boards will be installed to eliminate the need for inquiries at the counter. To improve catering services, 'restaurants on wheels' will be introduced in addition to existing stalls. Daily passenger movement at Chaibasa station is estimated at 1500-2000. With the inclusion of Chaibasa in the Amrit Bharat scheme, the Chakradharpur Division is planning to make the station a halt for more trains. As Chaibasa is the headquarters of Kolhan, railway employees are also demanding more trains from Chakradharpur to Chaibasa. The increased passenger flow is prompting the railways to install lifts and escalators at Chaibasa station. The project also includes the approval of foot over bridges and other amenities for eight stations, including Rairangpur, Gamharia, Sini, Ghatsila, and others along the Odisha route.
