Yeh project, jo ki teen saalon mein complete ho jayega, goods aur passenger trains ke liye dedicated tracks dega, jisse trains ko ek dusre ke liye wait nahin karna padega aur transportation faster ho jayega. fast corridor between Dadar and Virar, then extending to Churchgate in 2011 after platform expansion, and finally launching services on the slow corridor in 2021. The total number of local trains on the Western Railway will exceed 200 by 2024. This expansion is supported by the ongoing construction of the sixth line between Borivali and Virar, with the Kandivali section expected to be completed by October. To accommodate the increased capacity, Western Railway is spending 70 crore rupees to widen platforms at 14 stations between Andheri and Virar, where 15-coach trains will run on the slow corridor. The 15-coach trains will not halt at stations with short platforms between Dadar and Churchgate to avoid delays and ensure safety. The decision to convert 12-coach locals to 15-coach ones was made in 2015 by the Railway Board to reduce crowding and minimize accidents.

Western Railway pe local trains ki total number 2024 tak 200 se zyada ho jaayegi. Ye expansion Borivali aur Virar ke beech chal rahi 6th line ke construction se support mil raha hai, jiska Kandivali section October tak complete hone ki umeed hai. Jyada capacity ko handle karne ke liye, Western Railway Andheri aur Virar ke beech 14 stations pe platforms ko widen karne ke liye 70 crore rupees kharch kar rahi hai, jahan 15-coach trains slow corridor pe chalegi. 15-coach trains Dadar aur Churchgate ke beech short platforms wale stations pe nahi rukegi, yeh delay se bachne aur safety ke liye hai. 12-coach local trains ko 15-coach mein convert karne ka decision 2015 mein Railway Board ne liya tha, yeh crowding kam karne aur accidents ke risk ko minimize karne ke liye.

Train 12 coaches aur 1150 passengers ki seating capacity ke saath new technology se ladai hui hai aur yeh fast travel between cities provide karta hai. Railway Ministry ne naam change karne ka faisla liya hai kyunki yeh Ahmedabad ko nearby cities se connect karta hai, conventional metros ke opposite, jo short distances cover karte hain.
