East-West metro Update: ক'দিন আগেই ঘটে বিপত্তি, পুজোর আগেই ইস্ট-ওয়েস্ট মেট্রো নিয়ে মিলল বড় আপডেট, কাজ শুরু বউবাজারে

Work on the East-West Metro project in the Bowbazar area of Kolkata had been halted after an incident on September 5th, 2023, where a collapse occurred during underground construction. The work has now resumed after a solution was found for the problem.

Kolkata ke Bowbazar area mein East-West Metro project ka kaam September 5th, 2023 ko ek incident ke baad band ho gaya tha, jab underground construction ke dauran collapse hua tha. Ab problem ka solution milne ke baad kaam fir se shuru ho gaya hai.

Automatic Smart Card Recharge Machine (ASCRM). This machine accepts UPI payments and offers paper QR code-based tickets. The station will not have any booking counter or booking staff, and ASCRM machines are already installed for passenger convenience.

train will depart from Dum Dum and Kavi Subhash at 6:50 AM, and the last train will depart from Dakshineswar and Kavi Subhash at 9:40 PM. Special trains will be available at 10:40 PM from both stations. The reduced service frequency is expected to increase travel time on the Blue Line. Other lines, including the Purple Line, Green Line, and Orange Line, will operate on their regular schedules. However, passenger numbers are expected to be relatively low on these lines.
