Haryana Chief Minister ML Khattar thanked Modi for the new line, stating it would boost the city's development and connectivity. He also announced that the Prime Minister would approve a project to connect Gurgaon with Faridabad via Metro. Meanwhile, Shravan Hardikar, a 2005-batch IAS officer, has been appointed as the new MD of Maharashtra Metro Rail Corporation Limited (Maha Metro), replacing Dr. Nitin Kareer.
